Echo Circuit

Escape a maze-like, liminal prison by activating circuit breakers and evading hostile robotic guards.

This short demo serves as part of my audio design reel, highlighting interactive music re-orchestration and dynamic sound scripting, implemented using Wwise and Unreal Engine 5. All music and sound effects were composed and designed by me. I also designed all game logic, programming, and systems, making this a fully solo end-to-end development process.

The game features custom interactive music implemented with Wwise, combining modular music stems with advanced RTPCs like object proximity and player input. For example, proximity to robotic guards dynamically adjusts the volume of a percussion stem, while circuit breakers add synth loop leitmotif stems and unique diegetic elements. The stems are modular 16-bar segments looped in a randomized sequence, providing variation while maintaining cohesion. This dynamic music system allows for seamless re-orchestration in real time, creating an engaging and immersive experience for players.
